James Francis Jackson, 66, passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at his home in Bucyrus.
He was born Oct. 1, 1948, in Ellis Prairie, son of Clifford Albert and Adeline Pauline Shiner Jackson. He and Louise Carter were married July 6, 1968.
He graduated from Houston High School in 1966. He worked at golf courses in St. Louis, Brown Shoe Co. in Houston, Smith sawmill in Success, Durham Company in Houston and Briggs and Stratton Co. in Rolla.
He and his wife, Beth, attended First Baptist Church in Houston. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
He was under Hospice care the past two years.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara on June 7, 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Beth of the home in Bucyrus; a brother, John Jackson of Success; two sisters, Joyce Stark and Judy Warner of Bucyrus; four children, Ronda Taylor, Jamie Darter, Tony Darter and Tara Kerns; a stepdaughter, Amy Givens; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were Thursday, Jan. 22, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Howell Burkhead and Rev. Roger Flint officiating. Burial was in the Jackson Cemetery.
