James “Jim” Nevels, 95, of St. Charles, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015.
He was born Sept. 12, 1912, son of Nathan and Myrtle Nevels.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skeet shooting, golfing, boating and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Theresia Kehoe Nevels; and four siblings, Margaret Owens, Ralph Thomas Nevels, Robert Nevels and Pete Nevels.
Survivors include four children, Nancy Nichols of Maryland Heights, Duane Nevels of Rolla, Sandra Howard of Houston and Sharon Vaughn of St. Charles; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Nevels.
Services were Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel in St. Charles. Interment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
