The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Christian L. Thacker, 23, of 16004 Lone Pine Drive at Mountain Grove, was arrested Jan. 8 for having an active Texas County warrant for driving without a valid license and careless and imprudent driving. Thacker was taken to the Texas County Jail. No bond was set.
•Shawn D. Sharp, 23, of 8302 Fisher Drive in Houston, was issued a citation Jan. 6 for possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana.
Sharp was cited after being an officer who knew he also had an active City of Houston warrant for peace disturbance observed him walking on the shoulder of U.S. 63 at about 8:15 p.m. Sharp was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $275 bond.
•Esther M. Kribble, 37, of Shelbyville, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly attempting to swipe a pocketknife valued at $5 from Walmart at about 5:50 p.m. Jan. 8. She was taken to the Texas County Jail, fingerprinted and released.
•Ronald G. Sheedy, 58, of Ellsinore, was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident at Highway 17 and U.S. 63 at about 3:40 p.m. Jan. 5.
•Tara L. Walser, 21, of 109 Redbud in Houston, was issued citations for driving with a suspended license, possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Holder Drive at about 10:20 p.m. Jan. 7. An officer made the stop after observing a blue Kia Sportage leave the McDonald’s parking lot and directly in front of his patrol car in a manner that forced him to brake hard to avoid a collision.
