A race developed Tuesday for the Ward II council spot on the Houston City Council.
Andrew Wells filed for the position held by Charles “Chalky” Wells, who completed paperwork earlier.
Declaring last month were: Don Tottingham and Kenton Rhea Yarnall, mayor; David Arthur, Ward III; and Mary Barnes, Ward I.
The deadline to file is 5 p.m. Jan. 20.
