The following are excerpts of reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A 37-year-old Houston man reported a burglary at his residence in Northview Lane trailer park on Jan. 9. The man told an investigating officer he left at about 12:30 p.m. and when he returned about two hours later he discovered that several items with a total value of $850 had been stolen, including a 42-inch TV and a toolbox full of tools.
There are no suspects.
•A woman reported a prowler at her Success Road residence at about 12:15 a.m. Jan. 11. An investigating officer determined the prowler was actually a large raccoon under the porch at the woman’s home.
•An officer responded to a room at Texas County Memorial Hospital at about 5:15 p.m. Jan 10 after a female patient stated she wouldn’t take her medicine unless she could first speak to a deputy.
•Two deputies responded at about 2:15 p.m. Jan. 8 to a request by the Houston Police Department for assistance in locating a woman who had threatened suicide. The officers went to the woman’s Highway 17 residence and several other locations she is known to visit, but they were unable to locate her.
•A deputy was dispatched Jan. 9 to a Horseshoe Drive residence in Houston after a woman reported that she hadn’t been able to make contact with her grandmother in 10 days. The officer made contact with her, who said she was fine but her phone service had been cut off.
•A deputy was dispatched Jan. 7 to a Plato hair salon after the woman who owns it reported a burglary. The woman told the officer that when she arrived at work, the door was locked but all of her shears, scissors and razors were gone (with a total value of $475). There are no suspects.
•Two deputies responded at about 2 a.m. Jan. 1 to a report of a fight at an Orchard Street residence at Raymondville.
The officers made contact with a 19-year-old female at the location who stated she had been in an altercation with a woman. The officers determined she was drunk, and issued her a citation for minor in consumption of alcohol.
Cited was Danielle Heiney, 19, of 160 Orchard St. in Raymondville.
•A 55-year-old Roby man reported Jan. 7 that his 30-year-old girlfriend had smashed a picture frame against the hardwood floor in his Roby Road residence and caused about $200 worth of damage.
The man told an investigating officer he wanted to pursue property damage charges against the women, and a report was sent to the county prosecutor. The officer stated in his written report that the man and woman have an extensive history with the TCSD, including multiple domestic altercations and property damage issues.
The officer stated that within a couple of days of each incident, court personnel are notified that the complaining party has decided not to prosecute.
•A 24-year-old Cabool woman reported Jan. 6 that $34 cash and a five-gallon gas can full of gas had been swiped from her Finley Drive residence. There are no suspects.
•A woman called Jan. 2 to request that an officer tell her brother to stop calling her at her residence in a Tiffany Drive trailer park. Contact was made with the brother.
•A representative of the Missouri Department of Agriculture called Jan. 7 to report that children were possibly living in a kennel at a Highway U residence at Cabool. An investigating officer determined that no children lived at the location, either in a kennel or inside the home.
