HHS basketball

The Houston boys’ basketball team lost a pair of road games last week.

On Friday, senior Dylan Hooper hit three 3-pointers en route to a team-best 17 points in the Tigers’ 73-55 loss at Summersville.

Kobe Sutton connected twice from downtown and scored 12 for HHS, which trailed by six at halftime and by seven entering the fourth quarter.

Kolby Walker had eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in the defeat. Hooper led the Tigers with five steals.

Last Tuesday, Sutton was the HHS player in double figures with 13 in the Tigers’ 60-44 loss at Richland.

Houston (3-9) shot 33 percent from the field and was 3-for-17 from long range.

Junior Skylur Malam had nine points off the bench. Walker led the team with eight rebounds and six assists.
