Beverly James, 71, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, in Springfield.

She was born Oct. 11, 1943, in St. Louis, daughter of John and Bernice Lay. She and Donnie James were married April 21, 1962, in Salem.

She worked 20 years at Rawlings in Licking. She then started her own business with her husband, Donnie, until retiring in 2000.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Wanda Crawford and Barbara Jean Lay.

Survivors include her husband, Donnie; three sons, Donnie, Steve, Mike; a daughter, Sheila; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, John; and many other family members and friends.

She loved cooking, gardening, fishing (especially in Canada) and spending time with her family.

Services were Saturday, Feb. 21, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Karnes officiating. Burial was in Tyrone Cemetery.
