Elaine Marie Smith, 61, Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, in Houston.
She was born Jan. 4, 1954, in Greenpoint, N.Y., daughter of Richard and Elanor Elizabeth Rulli Smith.
She enjoyed reading and loved her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a son, Abraham Rodrigues Smith of Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter, Jaffa Monks of Houston; and three grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
