A public forum next month will introduce five candidates vying for two openings on the Houston school board.
The event –– hosted by local members of the Missouri National Education Association and Missouri State Teachers Association –– is 6 p.m. March 23 in the elementary gymnasium.
Incumbent Tadd McCloud filed candidacy paperwork for a three-year term along with Stacie Ely, M. Keven Reed, Dustin Smith and V. Leon Slape. Current board member Jim Root did not seek re-election.
