If you’re living with a health condition or care for someone who is, a healthcare management class soon to be offered in Texas County is for you.
Having a health condition does not mean that you have to stop doing the things you love to do. By attending this workshop once a week for six weeks, people can learn to manage symptoms, eat healthier, fight fatigue, have less pain, reduce frustration, communicate more effectively with others about their condition and get tips on making daily tasks easier.
The class is scheduled for 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. each Monday, from March 2 through April 6, at the Missouri Ozarks Community Health Clinic in Cabool. To register, call the University of Missouri Texas County Extension Center at 417-967-4545 or email texasco@missouri.edu
There is no charge to attend, but a minimum of 10 participants are needed for the class to take place. Participants will be provided a book worth $20 for attending all sessions.
This class is provided as a cooperative effort of the Texas County Commission, Texas County MU Extension Council, Missouri Ozarks Community Health, Mercy Health Systems and the Southwest Missouri Regional Arthritis Center.
