Houston police officers handled several investigations during the last week. 

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•An officer was dispatched at about 5:40 p.m. Feb. 18 regarding a theft from a car parked at a Main Street business. The officer made contact with a 54-year-old Houston man who said a pair of sunglasses valued at $175 had been swiped from his car while he was inside the business. There are no suspects.

•Bennie L. Thompson, 21, of 5395 Big Creek Road at Yukon, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly attempting to shoplift a radar detector from the Houston Walmart on Feb. 18.

•Two officers were dispatched at about 2 p.m. Feb. 8 regarding a domestic dispute at a Highway 17 residence.

The officers determined a 23-year-old man and 20-year-old woman had thrown a small chair at each other during an argument. No charges were filed and the two were advised to remain apart for 12 hours.
