The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Thomas E. J. Brown, 38, of Nixa, was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop Feb. 3.
•Jeffrey W. Watts, 43, of 7325 Highway ZZ in Bucyrus, was arrested Jan. 29 for having an active Texas County felony warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm. An officer made the arrest after it was learned Watts was in the community.
•Gary L. J. Hestand, 22, of Springfield, was issued citations for stealing under $500 and first-degree trespassing after allegedly attempting to shoplift from the Houston Walmart on Feb. 13. Hestand had been banned from all Walmart locations after a July 2014 incident.
•Kristin R. Mitchell, 20, of 17928 Highway H in Elk Creek, was issued a citation for following too closely after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 at about 3:50 p.m. Feb. 6.
