Senior Kylee Elmore and the Houston Lady Tigers are seeking the program's second ever district title on Monday against Licking.

Due to the threat of inclement weather Saturday night, the Houston Lady Tigers’ district championship game has been moved forward to 1 p.m. Saturday.

HHS, which topped Willow Springs 55-52 in Wednesday’s semifinals, is seeking the program’s second district championship. The Lady Tigers (18-9) won their lone title in 2004.

Licking (24-4) is the two-time defending Class 3 District 10 champions. The Lady Wildcats trounced Mountain Grove 44-22 in the semis.

Licking won all three regular-season matchups with Houston. The last was a 40-38 victory Jan. 31 in the championship game of the Mansfield Invitational.

The boys’ district championship game between Licking and Liberty was also moved forward. It will tip off around 2 p.m.

Saturday’s 1 p.m. district championship game between the Houston Lady Tigers and Licking will be streamed online at www.houstonherald.com/live
