The second annual RunwayLOUD Entertainment Fashion Week is hitting the road for a regional model search this month, and agents will be scouting around Missouri and northern Arkansas to recruit models for the August fashion event in Branson.
RunwayLOUD will be hosting auditions Sunday, Feb. 15, in the Houston Middle School gym. Auditions for children ages 5-17 are from 1-4 p.m. and for ages 18 and above from 5-8 p.m.
Houston native Alexis Fuwell is the defending champion, as she won 2014 Top Model in last year’s RunwayLOUD’s fundraising competition for charity.
The rest of the schedule for RunwayLOUD’s recruiting week:
Feb. 16 – Springfield (location TBA).
Feb. 17 – Fayetteville, Ark. (Union Ballroom).
Feb. 18 – Joplin (South YMCA).
Feb. 19 – Columbia (location TBA).
Feb. 20 – Kansas City (location TBA).
Feb. 21 – Branson (Hollister YMCA)
Once all of the models have been recruited, they will begin a 19-week schedule of training and community service in Branson. They will learn about the importance of caring for their neighbors and helping people in need in their local area.
Models will also have the opportunity to be discovered on a national level. Raymond L. LaPietra, owner of Career Images Model & Talent Agency, of Kansas City, has announced he will be attending RunwayLOUD’s Fashion Week in August, and will bring representatives of several casting agencies from all over the U.S. to attend.
LaPietra has in the past supplied talent for companies such as Google, Hallmark, L’Oreal, MTV, HBO, Bass Pro Shops, Target and others.
Last year, Fuwell landed a roll in an IMDB film that will air at the Sundance Film Festival. She also has auditions scheduled for Disney and a principal role in an IFC film out of New York City.
RunwayLOUD is looking for businesses to donate to the event. For more information about getting involved as a sponsor or volunteer, or about modeling, log onto www.RunwayLoud.com or call 417-365-2529.
