Olivia Woosley stands alongside her mother, Jodie Forbes, and brother, Ahren Woosley, as she is honored on Senior Night.

Houston High School honored its senior basketball players last week –– although it was oddly not their final home game.

Following a Thursday afternoon doubleheader with Liberty inside Hiett Gymnasium, seniors Kylee Elmore, Olivia Woosley, Kolby Walker, Ty Wilkins and Dylan Hooper were recognized alongside their family members. Senior cheerleaders and pep band members were also honored.

Senior Night is annually the final regular-season home game. But because of inclement weather that canceled classes for six straight days, the contest won’t be the finale for any of the seniors. Both teams will make up regular-season conference games with Thayer at some point after both programs are eliminated from the postseason.

Elmore, a four-year starter who eclipsed 1,000 career points earlier this year, hit five 3-pointers and scored 20 points in the Lady Tigers’ 53-38 victory against Liberty.

Wilkins scored a team-best 12 points in the Tigers’ 67-36 loss to Liberty. Hooper had a pair of 3-pointers in the defeat.
