Texas County Sheriff James Sigman released this statement Friday night:
“I would like to say thank you to the Texas County deputies, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cabool Police Department, Houston Police Department, Licking Police Department, Texas County coroner, Texas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers and Texas County EMS for all their hard work last night and today as we investigated several tragic scenes.
“It’s team work like this that makes our county so wonderful. Although Texas County suffered a terrible tragedy overnight we will pull together and get through this tragic event.”
Sigman added: “Thank you for all the prayers that have gone out for the families of the victims and the officers involved in the investigation. Thank you to all the surrounding county sheriff’s and law enforcement agencies that offered their assistance today. Thank you to the Red Cross and the Texas County EMD for their support this morning. I ask that you continue to pray for the families affected by this tragedy and offer them support in this difficult time.”
