Charles Raymond Mayes, 39, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, in Roby.
He was born June 14, 1975, in Boulder, Colo., son of Jimmie Davis Mayes, Sr. and Martha Martonelli Mayes.
He worked many years doing construction, cooking, and other jobs to support his family.
He loved fishing, camping, tattooing and enjoying the company of his friends at the river. He and his fiancé, Tabby, spent many summer days fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an older brother, Ronald L. Mayes; and a daughter, Victoria Young.
Survivors include his fiancé, Tabitha Smith; two sons, Kraden and Braden Mayes; two daughters, Natasha Smith and Courtland Bergheger; a sister, Colleen; several half-siblings; and many other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
