Elmer Dwayne Young, 74, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 30, 1940, in Summersville, son of Fred Elmer and Mabel Mae Williams Young.

He worked many years in the auto industry, mostly in car sales. After he retired he loved to find cars and clean them up to sell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leona May; two brothers,William Leroy, Fred Allen; and a sister, Grace Riegle.

Survivors include a daughter, Robin Haynes of Fenton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sons, Carl, David and James Pepper of Illinois; four sisters, Eunice Young of Houston, Ruby Diesel of Springfield, Ruth Bell of Summersville and Shirley Ireland of St. Charles; two brothers, Melvin Laverne of Summersville and Larry Young of Bull Shoals, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services were Wednesday, March 18, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Steelman officiating. Burial was in Summersville City Cemetery.
