Richard Mack

The Texas County Republican Party will hold its annual Lincoln Day on April 18 at the Licking High School Gymnasium.

The social hour starts at 5 p.m. with a dinner at 6 p.m.

The keynote speaker is Sheriff Richard Mack, founder of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, a group whose mission is to serve and support sheriffs while they fulfill their oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution. He was the first sheriff to sue the federal government concerning the Brady Bill, which set the precedent for states rights cases.

Mack is the only person in American history to receive the highest honors for public officials from the Second Amendment Foundation, Gun Owners of America and the NRA combined. Numerous Tea Party groups have named him “America’s Sheriff.” And most recently he was named one of the top 10 conservatives running for Congress in the Texas 2012 Primary Election. He has been a regular guest on Judge Napolitano’s Freedom Watch and has been interviewed on CNN, Nightline, Good Morning America and has been a guest on more than 500 radio talk shows worldwide.

His new book, “Are You a David?” will be available at the event.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $12.50 for students. There is limited dinner seating and advance tickets are recommended. To purchase call Bob Green at 573-674-2115 or Kathy Reece, 417-967-6974.
