The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•An officer was dispatched at about 10:30 p.m. March 11 regarding a report of a prowler at a Hickory St. residence.
The officer made contact with a woman who lives there and her brother, and a routine computer check revealed that the man had two active Howell County warrants for dangerous drugs. Jacob M. Hatcher, 31, of 119 Hickory St. in Houston, was subsequently arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was unable to post $5,000 bond.
•An officer conducting an investigation made contact with a man in the parking lot at Casey’s General Store on U.S. 63 in Houston at about 10 p.m. March 7, and asked the man if he knew the whereabouts of another man who was known to have an active arrest warrant. A routine computer check revealed that the man being questioned had two active Texas County warrants for driving while revoked.
Joshua W. Holt, 23, of 9242 Friendship Drive in Raymondville, was subsequently arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail, where he posted $1,000 bond.
