One person was injured Wednesday, March 4, in an accident on icy U.S. 63 about six miles south of Licking

One person was injured Wednesday morning when a vehicle went out of control on U.S. 63 south of Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Desiree N. Clark, 18, was the driver of a southbound 1998 Ford Windstar that ran off the roadway at about 9 a.m. and slid into a ditch, said Sgt. Dale Pounds of the patrol.

Clark, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. The vehicle had minor damage.
