The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Alton L. McClure, 18, of 671 Plainview Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption following a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 1:50 a.m. March 8.
An officer made the stop after observing a red Ford pickup traveling at a high rate of speed. After making contact with the driver – McClure – the officer smelled alcohol and a portable breath test was conducted. A juvenile boy in the truck reportedly also tested positive for alcohol.
•Michael D. Housely, 24, of 102 Ashley Lane in Houston, was arrested March 8 for having an active City of Houston warrant for driving while intoxicated.
An officer made the arrest after pulling over a black Jeep Liberty for speeding on U.S. 63 and determining Housely was a passenger in the vehicle. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he posted $484.50 bond and was released.
The 21-year-old woman driving the vehicle was issued a verbal warning.
•Nathan C. Young, 27, of 9267 U.S. 63 in Houston, was issued citations March 4 for stealing by shoplifting, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Young was cited after allegedly being caught swiping multiple items from Walmart. After an officer made contact with Young, marijuana and paraphernalia were found in his possession. He was taken to the Texas County Jail, booked and released.
•Morgan C. Jackson, 37, of 4073 Highway 137 in Elk Creek, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing after being observed inside Walmart at about noon March 6. Jackson had been banned from all Walmart locations after a previous incident. Â
