A regional group looking to improve south-central Missouri will meet April 9.

A regional group working to make advancements in south-central Missouri will meet next week in West Plains.

The Southern Ozarks Alliance for Rural Development (SOAR)  — whose membership includes those from Texas County — will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the West Plains Civic Center’s Magnolia Room. Speakers are Janie Dunning, state director of USDA Rural Development; and Sen. Mike Cunningham, R-Rogersville.

Topics discussed at the meeting will include education, healthcare and economic development projects that positively impact the 10-county region.
