The Rev. Terry Lippstreu, pastor of the Houston United Methodist Church announced Sunday, April 19, will be celebrated as “Holy Humor Sunday.”
He said that in celebration of the Resurrection, Holy Humor Sunday is designed to remind Christians that God has a wonderful sense of humor, demonstrated by the fact that He played the greatest practical joke of all time on Satan, who thought He had killed Jesus only to find that God raised Him from the dead and gave Him eternal life.
Lippstreu stated that the worship service, which is at 10 a.m., will be full of joy and laughter and fun and some unexpected surprises.
