The Rev. Robert Floyd Smith, 96, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Mountain View Health Care.

He was born May 20, 1918, in Monteir, son of Ike and Maud Ellen Kirkland Smith. He and June Cooley were married Feb. 19, 1938.

He and his wife, June, were pastors of the Church of God of Prophecy in Summersville for several years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, June; a son, Bobby; his parents; two half-brothers, Weaver and Ed Fox; a half-sister, Ellen Fox; and five brothers Arron, Arthur, Elvis, Jesse and John.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruthellen Grose of Kimberling City and Carol Craig of Summersville; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; a nephew; and two nieces.

Services are noon Friday May 1, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Steelman officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakside Cemetery.
