The City of Houston says homes and businesses without street numbers posted are slowing the response of emergency personnel and public works employees.
City ordinance requires the numbers to be on the front entrance of a building in a conspicuous place. The numbers are to be no less than three inches in height.
If owners or rental agents haven’t attached them, then it is the duty of the tenant.
If a new resident is unsure of the number, the information can be obtained by calling the city clerk.
