After pursuing him for close to a year, Texas County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday apprehended a 36-year-old man charged with physically abusing a juvenile.
Sheriff James Sigman said Joshua Dean was arrested at a Stallcup Road residence off of Highway M in Huggins. Dean had reportedly been on the run from his original residence on Turley Road at Plato since an investigation began last June.
“He had moved several times,” Sigman said. “We got a tip about what he was driving, so we were able to locate a residence where we found him.”
Authorities said the alleged abuse involved in the case was not sexual in nature. Dean is in the Texas County Jail on $1 million bond.
