A Houston High School graduate was hired during a special session Monday to return to her alma mater as middle school head volleyball coach.
Kaitlyn Kell, who graduated this month from Missouri Valley College, was one of several hirings by the school board during the 37-minute meeting. Also hired were:
- Robert James, head high school boys’ basketball coach, physical education teacher and focus room teacher.
Kathy Bradshaw, middle school English and middle school student council sponsor.
Carla Mitchell, middle school 24 sponsor.
The board accepted the immediate resignation of Roxanne Bilderback, a paraprofessional, and set the salary of new HHS assistant principal Eric Sloan at $56,000.
Also during the meeting, the board heard the building trades home was sold to Doug and Wendy Davison for $200,000.
