A Licking man was arrested Sunday, May 17, on drug charges, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

A man from Licking was arrested early Sunday on drug charges by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Dalton R. Backues, 24, was arrested on felony charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia (amphetamine/methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance – except 35 grams of less of marijuana (two counts). Backues also faces charges of driving while revoked, failing to signal and wearing no seatbelt. 

The patrol said he is held at the Texas County Jail.
