Mary Rosetta Pyles Riley, 95, passed away Sunday, May 24, at Mountain View Health Care.
She was born March 7, 1920, in Ink, daughter of Henry Allen and Eliza Anna Sullivan Pyles. She and Donald Edward Riley were married June 18, 1940.
She worked more than 30 years at Angelica Uniform Factory as a sewing operator.
She was a member of the Summersville First Baptist Church, attending as long as her health permitted. When she moved to Mountain View Health Care, she attended the church services until it was too difficult for her.
She was a member of the Summersville Order of Eastern Star Chapter 363. She was a past matron, holding most all offices in the chapter. On May 18, 2002, she was honored for more than 50 years as a member.
She loved gardening, flowers, working in her yard and spending time with her family. Each of her grandchildren received a handmade quilt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; and a sister, Anna Ruth Farrow.
Survivors include two children, Carol Lowell of Summersville and Charles Riley of Houston; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; two nieces; and a nephew.
Services were Wednesday, May 27, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Burial was in Summersville City Cemetery.
