One person was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday evening after a vehicle struck a church on Airport Road.
Houston police said a vehicle being driven by a woman learning to operate a 5-speed manual transmission in the parking lot at the Houston Seventh-day Adventist Church hit the northwest portion of the building. The woman was reportedly there with a man who was spraying poison ivy on the property. The two attend the church.
Police said the woman’s injuries were minor and since the incident was deemed an accident, there are no charges involved.
