Texas County merchants collected about 24 percent more sales tax revenue than the same monthly period a year ago, the Missouri Department of Revenue reports.
The total from each of three half-cent sales taxes was about $110,927, a jump of about $21,765 each from May 2014.
In the first five months of the year, about $436,810 was collected on each. That’s up about 6.9 percent from the same period in 2014.
