The following are excerpts of reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A Licking man reported at about 12:30 a.m. May 31 that his estranged wife was at his Boone Creek Road residence and wouldn’t leave. The woman left shortly after the arrival of an investigating officer.
•A Houston man called at about 9:15 p.m. May 30 to report that a woman had been at his Tiffany Drive residence and left.
•A woman called at about 5 p.m. May 27 to report that she and her son had been arguing at her Camden Lane residence. An investigating officer reported nobody was home upon arrival.
•A Summersville man called at about 11 a.m. May 30 to report a suspicious truck and trailer parked on his Highway 17 property. The Elk Creek man who owns the items was contacted and said he would move them.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 4:20 p.m. May 26 to assist Houston police with a peace disturbance at Bob’s Barber Shop on Grand Avenue in Houston. Officers attempted to make contact with a suspect, but were unsuccessful.
•A deputy conducting business May 29 at a Brushy Creek Road residence at Houston heard loud yelling coming from another residence a few houses down the road.
The officer made contact with a 28-year-old woman who lives there and asked why he could hear yelling from 100 yards away. The woman stated she had found another woman’s phone number stored in her 24-year-old boyfriend’s phone.
The man and woman were advised to separate for 12 hours. No charges are pending.
•Bobbie M. Crawford, 34, of 229 Kelly Road in Raymondville, was issued a citation for third-degree assault after allegedly punching a 32-year-old woman several times in the face during an incident May 28 at another Kelly Road residence.
The victim reportedly called the TCSD from the Texas County Memorial Hospital emergency room. Crawford was cited following a responding deputy’s investigation. The incident reportedly occurred because of a dispute over a man.
•A 17-year-old Houston boy came to the TCSD office May 29 to report that a Kenwood CD unit had been stolen from his truck while it was parked outside his Highway 17 residence. There are no suspects.
•A 37-year-old Willow Springs woman called May 28 to report receiving numerous harassing phone calls at her Highway AZ residence from a man claiming to represent a government agency.
The woman stated the man said his name was John Fisher and was from the “Federal Grant Program.” She said the man had an accent like a person from India and that he spoke to her in a nasty sexual reference.
An officer asked what the called ID showed, and the woman said it only showed six numbers: 567-848.
•A representative of the Frito Lay Co. reported May 28 that someone had attempted to break into a delivery van parked next to the company’s storage building on U.S. 63 north of Houston. The man told an investigating deputy that there were pry marks on the vehicle’s back door. There are no suspects.
•A deputy responded May 27 to a report of tampering with water meter services at a Tiffany Drive trailer park in Houston. A water district representative showed the officer a homemade “jumper” arrangement that was evidence of water service being swiped.
A 37-year-old man is a suspect in the theft.
•A 56-year-old Huggins woman called May 27 to report that a 57-year-old Plato man was destroying the lagoon at her Upton Road property.
The woman told the officer she had sold some land to the man’s sons about a year ago, and now the man was putting up fencing and threatening to ruin the lagoon. The officer met with both parties and discussed possible steps to resolve the matter.
•A 26-year-old Summersville man called May 27 to report a burglary at his Highway W residence. An investigating officer determined the man and his 22-year-old wife were separated, and she had taken the missing items.
The man was advised to seek an attorney.
•Three deputies on May 26 went to a Highway B residence at Raymondville to execute a felony Colorado warrant on a man who reportedly could be found there.
The officer made contact with a man and woman there who stated they didn’t know where the suspect could be found. The officers believed their denial was unfounded, and after asking further questions, gained an admission that the man was the person they were looking for.
Jackie L. Ice, 55, was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Texas County Jail. The woman, 57, was taken into custody and a probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking a charge against her of hindering prosecution.
