The Houston school board hired six new employees during a special session last Tuesday.
After interviewing Jody Jarrett and Amy Smith, the board unanimously selected Jarrett as the new elementary principal. They set her salary at $71,000 and also made $2,000 available to severe her contract – if needed – as elementary principal at Cabool.
Also hired at the meeting were:
- Marcella Fleetwood, elementary counselor.
- Brett Kelley, high school social studies.
- Dana Harper, middle and high school special education teacher.
- Jeremy Smith, special education process coordinator.
- Amelia Martin, speech-language pathologist.
