Officers responded last week to a report of a man threatening to kill his wife, authorities said.
Two deputies and a Licking police officer responded at about 4:40 a.m. June 16 to a residence at Licking regarding a report of a man wanting to kill his wife.
A responding deputy stated in a written report that before he arrived at the scene he was advised that the man was at Sackett Street residence at Licking with a rifle and was threatening to kill multiple people there. After an investigation, a 36-year-old Licking man was taken into custody and a report was sent to the county prosecutor seeking charges against him of unlawful use of a firearm.
A Hi-Point model 995 9-millimeter carbine rifle was found in the man’s vehicle and seized as evidence that reportedly had a bullet in its chamber and a full magazine.
