A local foundation that works to improve the community will host a youth-oriented event Saturday at the Houston City Pool and Westside Park.
Called “The Summer Palooza,” the event will run from 5-10 p.m. and feature multiple activities, including swimming, an outdoor kid-friendly movie, yard games, inflatable jump houses and food.
Here’s a schedule of events:
•The Houston City Pool will be open from 6-8 p.m. with $1 admission. No passes are accepted.
•At 8:30 p.m., an outdoor movie will be shown at Westside Park.
•Yard games will take place throughout the evening for everyone to enjoy.
•Hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase as a fundraiser.
The Houston Community Foundation, which part of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO), is organizing the event. CFO is a public foundation serving the Missouri Ozarks, with a mission of enhancing the quality of life in the region through resource development, community grant making, collaboration and public leadership.
