Two Houston teenagers were injured Saturday in a crash north of their hometown.
Tpr. J.R. Sellars said a northbound 1997 Dodge Avenger driven by Shawn D. Sharp, 24, of Houston, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree on Fisher Drive.
Two passengers, Brianne L. Akins, 17; and Cheyenne N. Labbee, 18, received minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
Sellers said the vehicle was totaled. Akins was not wearing a seat belt, Labbee was and it was not known if Sharp was wearing one.
