The Big Piney River covers Highway BB near Boiling Springs on Friday. It is southwest of Licking.

Officials are working to gather information for a possible state and federal disaster declaration after high waters hit Texas County on Friday.

Damage is reported to many township roads and bridges. Bennie Cook, emergency management director for the county, said an assessment for a potential disaster declaration is underway. Results will be sent to the State Emergency Management Agency.

Residents should report damage to roads and bridges to their township board. Damage information to homes and businesses also is sought.
