The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•A 30-year-old Houston man faces charges after allegedly swiping an air rifle from Walmart on June 27.
According to a probable cause statement sent to the county prosecutor, by an investigating officer, the man was seen by Walmart staff members entering and leaving the store through the garden area. When he left, he was observed riding away on a bicycle.
The officer made contact with the man at his Chestnut Street residence, and he later admitted to swiping the gun and then giving it to someone else who allegedly pawned it. The man had a criminal history including convictions on stealing offenses in September 2013 and January 2014, according to a report.
•Daniel K. Labbee, 30, of 713 Chestnut St. in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly swiping a flag belt buckle valued at $42 from Orscheln Farm and Home on July 2. An officer investigating another theft observed the item at a pawn shop in downtown Houston.
Investigation revealed that the man who pawned the buckle had obtained it from Labbee.
•Macie D. Mitchell, 24, of 313 Holt St. in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while revoked after an officer who knew her license was revoked observed her driving a green Isuzu Rodeo on Dooley Street at about 7:25 p.m. July 15.
•Terry R. Haden, 43, of 16914 Burch Road in Solo, was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident on Oak Hill Drive at about 1:20 p.m. July 7.
•Scott M. Arlint, 25, of 16650 Oak Hill Drive in Houston, was arrested July 17 for having an active Vernon County warrant for passing bad checks. An officer made the arrest after making a traffic stop of a vehicle with a major exhaust leak. A routine computer check revealed the warrant.
Arlint was taken to the Texas County Jail where he posted $410 bond and was released.
•Jason R. Hall, 33, of 14560 Cloverdale Road at Cabool, was arrested July 16 for having an active Phelps County warrant for failure to appear on a driving infraction. An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole office after being advised that Hall was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail.
•Troy C. Conley, 48, of 289 E. Highway B at Raymondville, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked after a traffic stop on Highway B.
An officer who knew Conley’s license was revoked made the stop after observing him driving a gold Chevrolet Silverado. After making contact with Conley, the officer smelled alcohol, and field sobriety tests were conducted. He was taken to the Texas County Jail.
•James W. Dickens, 23, of 777 Highway 17, Apt. 24, in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to obey a police officer after an officer responded to a report of an unruly patient at Texas County Memorial Hospital at about 5 p.m. July 6.
The officer reported that Dickens was being treated for being extremely drunk and would not calm down when advised to do so. Dickens allegedly verbally threatened the officer.
