Healthy Schools, Healthy Communities (HSHC) will host “Family Fun Night” beginning at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 23, in the arena at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Fairgrounds (on day 2 of the Texas County Fair).
The schedule of activities:
•6:30 p.m. – Color Run/Walk. Adults: $10, kids: $5, family maximum: $30. Pre-register by tomorrow (July 15) at Houston City Hall or Cabool City Hall to guarantee a t-shirt. Shuttle service (for run/walk participants only) from the fairgrounds to the Lone Star Plaza at 5:30 p.m. for the beginning of the run/walk.
•8 p.m. – 3-legged race. Age categories: 6-12, 13-19, adults. Sign up at the arena that night. Winners from each category will receive a prize.
•Free family games – obstacle course, washers, corn hole, ladder golf.
Vendors from the Houston Farmers Market will have fresh fruits and vegetables available for purchase. Music performances will be provided by Cat Daddy and the Wild Whiskers.
