Lonnie Deane Lay, 75, of Park Hills, son of John and Ina McKinney Lay, was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Houston. He passed away July 7, 2015, in Sainte Genevieve, after a long illness.
Mr. Lay was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; daughter, Patti Counts; his parents and siblings, Juanita, Marlys, Donna, Harold, Max, Jerry, Jack, Gene and Gale.
He is survived by his son, Keith Lay of Farmington; a daughter, Sheri Layton of Sainte Genevieve; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Lay grew up in Houston and Iowa and graduated from Houston High School. He married his high school sweetheart Carol Sue Lee in Raymondville, and they had three children.
Lonnie loved to golf and fish. He enjoyed being with his family, especially joking around with his grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor David Barbee officiating. Burial is in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home
