A 65-year-old Cabool man is in the Texas County Jail on $500,000 bond after an incident in which he allegedly restrained and molested an 11-year-old girl.
County authorities on June 30 arrested Daniel L. Kingston, of 3653 N. U.S. Highway 63 in Cabool, and he is charged with first-degree sexual abuse (victim is less than 14 years old).
According to a probable cause statement submitted by an investigating Texas County Sheriff’s Department deputy, Kingston allegedly came up behind the girl – who was at his house – and inappropriately touched her, and then grabbed her and held her closer when she attempted to get away.
The deputy noted in the statement that Kingston is already a registered sex offender.
