Area military veterans are invited to a ceremony in their honor Thursday, July 22, at the Texas County Fair.
City of Houston Mayor Don Tottingham said veterans of all eras are encouraged to attend, but organizers are especially hopeful that some of the few remaining from World War II and the Korean War will be there.
The event is at 6 p.m. in the arena at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Fairgrounds. For more information, call the chamber at 417-967-2220.
