Anthony Michael Mordis, 22, son of Jimmie and Tracy (Townsend) Mordis, was born March 1, 1993, in Maryville, ILL. He entered Heaven on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, in Raymondville, Mo.
Anthony was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Mordis.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmie and Tracy; his brothers, Glenn and Brandon; his sisters, Tara, Kayla and Chrissy; his nephew, Glenn; his unborn son, Michael Anthony Mordis; his grandmother, Donna; his nana, Diane; his grandfather, Tonie; and many cousins, extended family and friends.
Anthony grew up in Salem and Licking, Mo. He graduated from Licking High School in 2011. He became a successful small business owner at a young age, his undying drive supported his family. He was a loving partner to Carrie Porter, and he looked most forward to becoming a father.
Anthony received Jesus Christ as his Savior as a teenager at New Harmony Baptist Church and he remained faithful throughout his life.
He enjoyed summers at the lake and spending hunting trips with his cousins and grandfather. Anthony was a true friend and a good man. He was a talented guitar player and teacher to his sisters of the ukulele. To Anthony, his best day was riding his Harley. He will be remembered by his sense of humor and his generosity. Anthony will be incredibly missed by many. He is now rejoicing in the presence of God.
Visitation is 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at Evans Funeral Home. Services begin at 6 p.m. in the chapel with Lonnie Case officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, in St. John’s Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill., with Chris Tracey officiating. Pallbearers are Glenn Mordis, Brandon Mordis, Jon Cover, Jesse Cover, Dalton Vestal and Jacob Carver. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
