Beulah Lee Huskey Spencer Rust, 85, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, in Warrenton.

She was born Sept. 8, 1929, near Summersville, daughter of George W. and Josephene P. Mitchell Huskey. She and Marvin Spencer were married in 1949. She and Billy Gene Rust Sr. were married in 1963.

She graduated from Summersville High School in May 1947 and gave herself to God in May 1948 at the First Baptist Church in Summersville.

She taught the first through fourth grades at Hartshorn in 1947 and ’48. She was also a member of the V.F.W.

She retired in 1988 while working in Oxnard, Calif., when her health would no longer allow her to work.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Violet Caldwell and Velma Marsh; and a brother, Herman Huskey.

Survivors include four children; three sisters, Virginia Young and Ailene Kelly of Granite City, Ill., and Bonnie Ament of Summersville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday, Aug. 31, at Bradford Funeral Home. Burial was in Summersville City Cemetery.
