William Raymond Cooley, 83, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at his home.
He was born June 10, 1932, in Oakside, son of Barney Raymond and Wilma Dyer Cooley. He and
Mary Lou Atkins were married in 1954. She passed away in 1968. He and Jeanie Malone were married in 1969.
He served in the Navy from 1950-’54.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Lou; a brother, Ralph; and an infant sister, Nellie.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanie of the home; four sons, Lynn of Goose Creek, S.C., Denver and Justin of Summersville and Scott of Willow Springs; two daughters, Lisa Jordan of Houston and Ivanna Koogler of Low Wassie; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Pug Cooley of Mountain View and Bud Cooley of Summersville; a sister, Dorothy Wood of Wood River, Neb.; and many other family members and friends.
Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in Summersville City Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
