Highway B near Raymondville is flooded following heavy rains in July.

Officials from the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be in Houston Thursday, Aug. 20, to conduct an applicant briefing to speak to representatives of businesses and organizations in a five-county area planning to apply for public disaster assistance related to recent flooding.  

The meeting be in the multipurpose room at the Texas County Justice Center, and begin at 8:30 a.m. and will run approximately four hours. The briefing is open to township officials, road crews, city officials, county officials and state officials who were involved in the damage assessments to public roads or buildings during the last two months.
