Helen Edith Pinkston Benson, 95, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015.

She was born March 15, 1920, in Rubidoux, daughter of James and Annie Friend Pinkston. She and W.C. “Bud” Benson were married Oct. 14, 1936.

She was raised and lived her entire life in the Success area until late in life. She helped her husband, Bud, with the family farm and their sawmill business.

She was an active member of the Roby Assembly of God Church as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings; her husband, Bud; a son, Dale Benson; a daughter, Darlene Bean; and a grandson.

Survivors include a son, Donald Benson; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and many other family members.

Services were Sunday, Aug. 30, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Ingalls officiating. Burial was in Licking Cemetery.
