American Legion Houston Post 41 in Houston recently provided funds to benefit three local boys.
The post helped Jared Chronister attend the Missouri Cadet Patrol Academy, June 1-6 in Jefferson City (sponsored by the American Legion Department of Missouri in cooperation with the Missouri State Highway Patrol) and assisted Caleb Adkison and Jefferson Thomas to attend the annual American Legion Boys State, June 18-25 at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
Chronister and Thomas attended a recent post meeting to thank the members for their sponsorship and inform them of what they had learned from their experiences.
Also, Rep. Robert Ross recently donated an American flag to the post to replace one stolen from the post earlier this year. The new flag was raised last Thursday.
