The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Leah H. Paramore, 25, of 211 N. Grand Ave., Apt. 106, in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway after a traffic stop on Maple Street at about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 23.
An officer made the stop after observing a black GMC Jimmy traveling on the wrong side of Bryan Street and then Maple Street. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted. Paramore was taken to the Texas County Jail for a six-hour hold period.
•David K. Hogue, 33, of 7444 Highway 17 in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and disobeying a traffic signal after a traffic stop on Highway 17 at about 10:45 p.m. Aug. 22.
An officer made the stop after observing a green Mazda pickup travel turn from U.S. 63 onto Highway 17 without stopping while the light was red. After making contact with the driver, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted.
Hogue was taken to the Texas County Jail for a six-hour hold period.
•William T. Hebert, 28, of 611 Hawthorne St. in Houston, was ticketed Aug. 21 for displaying the plates of another.
•Alyssa G. Elliott, 17, of 298 N. Highway 17 at Raymondville, was issued a citation for failure to yield right-of-way after an investigation of a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and First Street at about 4 p.m. Aug. 21.
•Margaret D. Finn, 51, of 6016 Lilly Road in Houston, was ticketed for failure to stop at an electric signal after a traffic stop near U.S. 63 and Highway 17 at about 11 p.m. Aug. 14.
•Austin W. Morgan, 18, of 510 W. Chestnut St., Apt. 2, in Houston, was issued citations on Aug. 12 for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Morgan was taken to the Texas County Jail, fingerprinted and released.
•Dale C. Cates, 58, of 403 N. Grand Ave., Apt. 1, in Houston, was ticketed for driving without a valid license after a traffic stop at First and Mill streets at about 10:40 p.m. Aug. 11.
•Three teenagers were issued citations for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption after officers were dispatched at about 11 p.m. July 31 regarding a report of minors drinking in the parking lot at Orscheln Farm and Home on U.S. 63.
Upon arrival, the officers observed alcoholic beverage containers in a vehicle and made contact with several teenagers who admitted to drinking. Cited were Christian I. Neal, 18, of 310 Mill St. in Houston, Maddison M. Cooper, 17, of Summersville; and Larissa L. Mainer, 17, of 1215 W. Highway 17 in Houston.
A 15-year-old girl was also reportedly involved. Her parents were contacted and a report about the incident was sent to the county juvenile office.
•Alex R. Henry, 20, of 217 Chestnut Terrace in Houston, and Kody R. Morgan, 21, of Thayer, were each issued citations for peace disturbance after an incident at the Piney Inn at about 6:50 p.m. July 15.
The two men were reportedly making excessive noise, and an investigating officer observed a hole in a wall that a man who reported the disturbance said was related to their activity.
•Kenneth J. Hall, 55, of 731 Faye St. in Houston, was arrested Aug. 20 for having five active Texas County warrants for passing bad checks. An officer who was aware of the warrants made the arrest at Hall’s home.
He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $5,000 bond.
•Brittany L. Nored, 23, of 313 Summit St., Apt. 2, in Cabool, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly swiping multiple items from the Murphy Oil gas station on U.S. 63 at about 9:30 a.m. Aug. 20.
•Billy J. Hayes Jr., 24, of 313 Holt St. in Houston, was issued a citation for second-degree property damage after allegedly breaking a window in a vehicle during an argument with a woman at his residence at about 12:20 a.m. Aug. 11. Hayes was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 12-hour hold period.
•Dorothy L. Hernandez, 44, of 15151 Highway AA in Bucyrus, was issued a citation for driving while revoked after a traffic stop on Bryan Street at about 3:45 p.m. Aug. 15.
•Megan L. Neal, 32, of 302 W. Mill St. in Houston, was arrested Aug. 16 for having active Texas County warrants for tampering with a motor vehicle (class C felony), driving while revoked (class D felony), resisting arrest (misdemeanor) and no seat belt.
An officer who was aware of the warrants reportedly observed Neal on Hawthorne Street, and when she realized she had been seen, she ran into a residence. The officer stopped at the residence and made contact with a woman who denied knowing of Neal’s whereabouts. The officer received permission to search the home, and Neal was reportedly found in a bedroom behind a locked door. She was taken to the Texas County Jail and held on $350,000 bond.
